Amber Alert

Welcome to the Valhalla Volunteer Ambulance Corps (VAC) website. Valhalla Ambulance has been providing volunteer emergency ambulance service to the towns of Valhalla (Mount Pleasant, New York) and North White Plains (North Castle, New York) for over forty years.

The Valhalla VAC operates two New York State certified Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Membership is comprised of approximately 40 dedicated volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Emergency Ambulance Drivers, Crew Assistants & Junior Corps. Our Board of Directors has 9 individuals who serve to help make important financial and administrative decisions regarding the direction of the Corps.

Advanced Life Support (ALS)
The Valhalla Ambulance Corps, along with other local EMS agencies, also provides 24/7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) by operating two Paramedic Fly Cars. The "Fly Cars" are small SUVs staffed with one NYS Certified Paramedic each. The Fly Car responds to every emergency ambulance call. Once on scene the Paramedic will decide if they feel it necessary to join the Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance crew to treat the patient. The ALS system in Mount Pleasant is contracted through Transcare Ambulance Service.
